In Memorium

During his 25 year career with the Dow Chemical Company, the late Jessie A Scott, Jr. was part of their Energy Systems team that developed and led the company’s Gas Turbine maintenance program for all of the heavy frame gas and steam turbines for their Global fleet.  Dow was an innovative leader in the early development of the turbine component repair and maintenance industry working alongside both the OEMs and aftermarket service providers.  At one time, Dow Chemical was actually the largest generator of electricity in the great state of Texas.

From the experiences and knowledge gained, Mr. Scott recognized the need for a 3rd party independent service provider that truly focused on the needs of the customer and not just corporate agendas.  He and his partners formed Gas Path Technology, a leading repair service provider 30 years ago.  After years of success and industry leading growth, Gas Path was subsequently acquired by a larger corporate industrial group. After his 5 year work agreement and subsequent non-compete contract expired; he knew the power generation industry was still in need of a true independent and customer component repair service company that he had dreamed of years ago.

With that focus in mind, Jessie and two of his sons founded Trinity Turbine Technology L.P. in an empty 5,000 square foot building beginning operations in February 2002.  Over the course of the next several years, Trinity Turbine experienced steady growth continually adding more buildings, more equipment, more tooling and more specialists to their team – yet they knew that to achieve their collective dream; they were going to have to take a huge step of faith.

From those humble beginnings, The Scott family purchased 13 acres on Hwy 288 (20 miles South of Houston) in 2014 and began construction of an 85,000 square foot – “state of the art” purpose built repair facility.  The facility is self-contained/self-sufficient with complete in-house inspection and repair capabilities; including 50 welding stations; full service machining capabilities; vacuum heat treating furnaces/ovens; fuel nozzle (gas and liquid) flow testing capabilities; fully robotic thermal spray coating booths; industrial paint booth, grit blasting, shot peening, and in-house metallurgical lab.  This new facility better reflects the quality of our people.  Give us a call and schedule your tour.
